Resources for Veterans: Transitioning from Military to Civilian Life

Veterans face significant challenges as they transition from military to civilian life. Henry County Veterans Museum Mourns the Loss of U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Jim Joyce

The Heritage Park Veterans Museum is deeply saddened by the passing of Jim Joyce — a proud U.S. Army veteran (retired), and devoted public servant.
Jim honorably served his country with distinction in the armed forces and later dedicated many years to serving Henry County. His legacy is one of hard work, professionalism, and unwavering kindness. He had a deep passion for supporting veterans, dedicating countless hours to several organizations. Jim was especially proud of his work with the Henry County Veterans Museum, which he helped found and led as a coordinator with Henry County Parks and Recreation.

Jim was respected by his colleagues, loved by his friends, and cherished by his family. His leadership, service, and heart for others leave a lasting impact on our community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim’s beloved wife, Tina, and their family during this difficult time.

Calling all military veterans!
We are looking for a few good men and women wanting to come aboard as volunteers!
